Filmore & Union was our all time favourite food & drink brand. They’d never worked with an external agency but we knew that they had ambitious growth plans so put forward a proposition for supporting them in making their ambitions a reality with a marketing comms and employer branding strategy that they couldn’t say no to!
In August 2017, just over five years on from the launch of the first Filmore & Union cafe/restaurant in York, founder Adele Ashley had built up a network of 13 sites offering a variety of healthy, delicious food & drink to suit all tastes and dietary requirements. She had nailed the premium customer experience, combining Yorkshire, San Fran and Scandi culture to offer something that couldn’t be found elsewhere outside of major cities like London.
With a £3.5 million investment and partnership with John Lewis in the pipeline, the brand needed to evolve and its online presence and PR needed taking to the next level to realise Adele’s vision of making Filmore & Union a UK-wide network and household name.
We’re incredibly excited to be working with Adele and the team at this pivotal moment for the business and even more excited that its a brand which shares our ethos of Yorkshire roots, quality over quantity, and slow, sustainable growth while retaining and independent feel. The amazing coffee, juices, gluten free brownies, beautiful brunches, and guilt-free evening cuisine don’t hurt either!
