Each month we pick out a few of our highlight pieces of content along with some insight into the process behind each. No two months are the same in Engage Comms HQ as we love having projects and campaigns running to tap into topical industry news and events. Here’s what we’ve been up to in March…
NOCN website
Our labour of love, the NOCN website, has been a big project for our team for the past few months and we are so happy to see it go live! www.nocn.org.uk is a vital tool for NOCN, the UK’s market-leading international Awarding Organisation as it not only holds masses of information about the qualifications and apprenticeship services that NOCN provides, it also hosts resources/downloads/test assessment papers and important documentation for all customers. The site was dated, difficult to navigate and hadn’t evolved with the organisation and its offer. Since we started working with the NOCN Group, just over a year ago, it has acquired and established a number of other organisations including NOCN India Skills Foundation, CSkills Awards and One Awards so the new site needed to reflect the dynamic and diverse organisation that NOCN is today.
Our brief was to work closely with the appointed (and brilliant) web developers Arkom in Sheffield to develop the site map and all content for the new site as well as organising the content for secure member areas. We began with a thorough audit of all existing content as well as looking at the pages that received the most traffic to ensure that we didn’t lose any important information. We met with various experts from across NOCN to ensure that their areas were represented on the new site and we then shaped a more user friendly and intuitive site map that simplified the user journey, populating all areas with useful and engaging content. Phase one launched this month and we are already planning phase two content as a site like this needs to keep moving with fresh, relevant and regular content.
#NAW2018 – a library of content for National Apprenticeship Week 2018
For our clients in the construction, education and skills sector, we recognised that National Apprenticeship Week 5-8 March 2018 was going to be a big opportunity to engage with a national campaign, celebrate apprenticeship successes and engage with key audiences online. For our clients that are involved with apprenticeships including Premier Partnership, Harry Fairclough Construction, the CSA and NOCN we created a whole range of content for internal and external audiences including blogs, social graphics, adverts, GIFs and website landing pages which we shared across all social platforms using the trending hashtag #NAW2018 throughout the week.
