Engage Comms is pleased to be working with fellow Otley, West Yorkshire-based business Tate Solar, part of the Tate Oil family of companies.

George Tate founded Tate Oil in 1972 as an extension to his family engineering business. With an existing network of loyal agricultural customers, it became one of the first family-run fuel suppliers in the area – and more than 50 years later, Tate Oil remains the same independent, family-run business today.

With the help of Engage Comms, Tate Solar has now been launched to help Tate Oil customers navigate the next steps on their renewable energy journey, bringing the same level of personal service, expertise and quality to Solar PV systems as it does to fuel supply.

Unlike other solar panel installers, the team has the geographical and structural knowledge required to bring the latest and most future-proof solar technology to agricultural and rural properties. The top-tier, commercial grade systems it installs are built to last and can be adapted to properties with complex roofing structures to minimise impact to character and the landscape. Tate Solar’s Yorkshire-based expert installers are fully accredited by MCS, Napit and TrustMark with UKAS accredited certification for MIS 3002 Solar PV.

The team had made a start on branding and a website and asked Engage Comms to bring a professional edge to this, along with the development of a suite of digital and print materials to communicate their new proposition to Tate Oil customers, personalised for target sectors including farmers, engineering companies, and rural schools.
