The Language Shop (tls) quality assures the Ministry of Justice’s language services. Engage Comms was tasked with the development of a new brand and platform for a career development website for public service interpreters to help address key skills gaps in the sector.

Our Approach

We created TLS Learn is designed to bring together the ‘best in class’ development opportunities for those looking to start, progress or develop a career as a public service interpreter, making it easy to access industry-leading qualifications and training online. It was developed based on in-depth marketplace research to enable public sector organisations to access interpreters with the right experience and skills, by attracting more people into the profession and supporting them to forge a successful career.

Engage Comms was responsible for everything from the development of the brand narrative and visual identity to the design, build and content for the e-learning platform. We also delivered a strategic content marketing campaign to raise awareness of and build credibility for the new brand and sell its e-learning product range to highly targeted audiences of bilingual people and existing linguists across the UK.

This initial project led to Engage Comms being appointed to deliver a targeted marketing recruitment campaign to promote TLS Learn’s grant offer for discounted qualifications for interpreters with in demand languages for Ministry of Justice assignments.

We have also supported with designing and analysing surveys for MoJ employees to get feedback on the language services they receive as part of tls’ quality assurance role.
