The client

Allied Glazing Systems has more than 30 years’ experience designing, manufacturing, supplying and installing innovative aluminium windows. The team’s full design and management service makes them the project partner of choice for construction firms and local authorities across the UK.

The challenge

Having relied on steady growth from ‘word of mouth’ and strong relationships, the company had never done any proactive marketing and had an outdated website and brand which some clients/partners admitted was putting them off referring them for bigger projects. Realising the new owners’ ambitious growth plans was going to require change – but this change needed to be managed carefully to ensure that the core values on which the company had built strong foundations weren’t lost.

The comms

After gathering insight from existing staff to build up an authentic representation of the company, its people, and its offer, we worked in close consultation with key members of the team to develop a brand communications guide and new logo/identity. This meant that everyone internally was ‘singing from the same hymn sheet’ and gave the business a more professional and attractive external face through which to build awareness with new audiences.

We then developed a new content-led website designed to act as a hub for all marketing and business development activity which brought the brand communications guide (including values, tone of voice, proposition etc) to life and provided a platform for engaging audiences on an ongoing basis by showcasing ‘live’ projects and people.

Twitter and LinkedIn profiles were then aligned before a comprehensive programme of customer, employee, and stakeholder engagement activities was rolled out in line with key business objectives.

The outcome

The company had more orders in the first three months of the roll out of our campaign than they’d had in the whole of the previous year and they attributed this to our work.
