The Language Shop quality assures the Ministry of Justice’s (MoJ) language services. Engage Comms was tasked with the development of a new brand and platform for a career development website for public service interpreters to help address key skills gaps in the sector.
TLS Learn is designed to bring together the ‘best in class’ development opportunities for those looking to start, progress or develop a career as a public service interpreter, making it easy to access industry-leading qualifications and training online. It was developed based on in-depth marketplace research to enable public sector organisations to access interpreters with the right experience and skills, by attracting more people into the profession and supporting them to forge a successful career.
Engage Comms was responsible for everything from the development of the brand narrative and visual identity to the design, build and content for the e-learning platform. We’re now delivering a strategic content marketing campaign to raise awareness of and build credibility for the new brand and sell its e-learning product range to highly targeted audiences of bilingual people and existing linguists across the UK.
The new website can be found at https://tlslearn.org/ and you can watch the introductory video we created below:
“Public service interpreters working in settings including courtrooms and the NHS require a complex set of skills and personal attributes. We believe that a career in public service interpreting should be accessible and rewarding, and we want to support interpreters to continuously develop the skills required to work to the highest standards. With e-learning more important than ever, we hope that our online qualifications and training will provide a much-needed resource for those looking to start, progress and develop a career in the profession.”
