The UK Credit & Collections Conference #ukccc is the Credit Services Association’s (also see main CSA case study) flagship annual event. As their digital communications consultancy, we were responsible for co-ordinating all of the social media content around the promotion and delivery of the 2016 conference. This involved engaging with potential speakers/exhibitors/sponsors, devising and implementing a programme of thought leadership blog content including guest blogs from high profile speakers, creative content to bring the conference content to life, and creating a buzz around the event on Twitter (using the hashtag #ukccc to tie it all together) in the lead up to, during and after the day. This included managing the Twitter wall at the event and working with the videography team to capture, edit and share video clips of panel sessions and ‘talking head’ interviews with key spokespeople on the day.
The unique link we created to the UKCCC conference website which was only shared on social media received over 1,500 unique clicks, conference-related blog content received a greater volume and quality of traffic than had ever been achieved on the main CSA website, and the levels of engagement and reach of the conference on Twitter and LinkedIn in the lead up to and during the day were more than double that of any other major conference in the credit industry.
The campaign directly contributed to what was considered to be the CSA’s most successful event to date in terms of the profile of speakers, the number and quality of delegates and the feedback and endorsement from key stakeholders.
