Wetherby Shade Card is a Yorkshire-based manufacturer of innovative, bespoke, sales-enhancing shade cards and other product sample presentation solutions for leading manufacturers, distributors and retailers across Europe. Established more than 60 years ago, the company prides itself on its heritage and expertise but needed to modernise to keep up with global competition.

Engage Comms was tasked with creating a new brand identity, website and marketing strategy that would enable the business to showcase its unique proposition to premium contract interiors, automotive and fashion distributors and retailers in the digital age. The aim was to not only strengthen links with existing loyal customers but also tap into potential new markets by streamlining the traditional face-to-face sales proces.

We developed a visual identity that paid homage to the existing brand but with a modern twist and re-articulated the proposition with a new content-rich website that is future-fit. New photography was commissioned to bring a more premium feel to the brand in line with key customers which include marketing managers of Scandi contract interiors brands.

The marketing strategy we have developed focuses on ‘working smarter, not harder’ to sustainably increase market share and mitigate losses to newer competitors.
