One thing we’ve learnt from our 14 years in business is that change isn’t a one-off anymore, it’s constant. Whether it’s transformation programmes or market shifts, launches or restructures, organisations are navigating change at pace and through all of it, one thing continues to make (or break) success – communications.

Following our recent Linkedin poll, it’s clear most organisations know they could be doing comms better during change. So over the past couple of weeks we’ve been sharing a few practical considerations, based on what we see every day working alongside businesses in these pivotal moments.

Here are the three that matter most:

1️⃣ Don’t wait
If comms starts after decisions are made, you’re already behind. The organisations that get this right shape the narrative as they shape the strategy. They bring comms in early to create clarity, alignment and direction from day one, not as an afterthought.

2️⃣ Be consistent
Change doesn’t land if the story keeps shifting. We often see the temptation to “refresh” messaging because it feels repetitive. But in reality, consistency is where the impact lies. Clear, aligned repetition builds trust. Mixed messages create confusion. It might feel repetitive internally but externally, you’re only just starting to cut through.

3️⃣ Make it meaningful
Change only lands when people understand what it means for them. High-level strategy isn’t enough. People need clarity on their role, their priorities, their day-to-day. The real skill is translating the big picture into something tangible and relevant because that’s what drives engagement and action.

Across all of this, one thing is clear, getting the comms right is a critical driver of whether that change succeeds and this is exactly where we work best, partnering with organisations to bring clarity, consistency and momentum when it matters most.
